17 March 2010 Comparative GHG Assessment of CRNS Services
The CRNS services were evaluated using the CEC Carbon Waste Model. This Model calculates the GHG emissions (carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O)) associated with the waste management options under consideration, and converts these into tonnes CO2 equivalent (t CO2 ‐e) using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) value for each gas.
